In California, a construction site at a high school football field suffered an accident that led to the death of a worker. The workers were installing new lights for the football field when the accident occurred.

A forklift malfunctioned, causing a 5,000 pound concrete pylon to fall on and crush one of the workers. The incident is under investigation by the Bakersfield Police and the California Department of Occupational Safety and Health.
