Two sheriff’s deputites in Los Angeles County pleaded not guilty to charges of assault this past Tuesday. The two officers were charged with beating a firefighter in Pomona.
Joshua Titel and Brian Richards, both of whom are 31, are being charged by prosecutors for allegedly beating and kicking Stephen Paige, a firefighter, while off duty. The alleged assault took place June 24, 2007.
The two men are facing a bail-review hearing on November 10th of this year in Pomona Superior Court.
The prosecutors have stated that Paige had to undergo weeks of medical treatment as a result of the assault before he could go back to work.
